Programs & Initiatives
Empower Her Rise, Inc. supports women of color from underserved and underrepresented communities through intentional, community-centered programs designed to create access, opportunity, and lasting impact. Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when barriers are removed and women are equipped with the mentorship, resources, and leadership development they need to succeed.
Each Pillar of Empowerment reflects our commitment to supporting women at every stage of their academic and professional journeys from higher education and law school preparation to leadership development and community engagement. Together, these initiatives form a comprehensive ecosystem that strengthens representation, builds confidence, and fosters a strong network of emerging leaders.
Through these pillars, Empower Her Rise creates pathways for women of color to lead, serve, and positively influence the spaces and communities they are part of.
The Rise Collective - Membership
A membership-based community created to connect and support women of color pursuing pathways in higher education, law, and leadership. The Rise Collective offers access to mentorship, leadership workshops, networking opportunities, resources, and peer support designed to foster growth, confidence, and long-term success.
Lead Her Rise - Mentorship Program
A structured mentorship program designed to support women of color from underserved and underrepresented communities as they prepare for law school. Lead Her Rise connects individuals with law students and attorneys who provide guidance throughout the law school application cycle, including personal statement development, resume review, interview preparation, and strategic planning for academic and professional success.
The Empowerment Brunch
A signature annual event that brings together women across higher education, law, and leadership to connect, collaborate, and celebrate collective achievement. The Empower Her Brunch features networking opportunities, panel discussions, and community recognition designed to strengthen cross-generational mentorship and professional relationships.
Community Drive Initiatives
Community Drive Initiatives are a series of annual, community-based efforts focused on reducing barriers and meeting essential needs for students and families in underserved communities. These initiatives provide critical resources such as school supplies, hygiene items, and other necessities that support academic success and overall well-being.
Community & Campus Ambassador
A leadership development program that equips women of color to serve as ambassadors for EHR within their campuses and communities. Ambassadors receive leadership training, professional development, and mentorship while engaging in outreach, advocacy, and peer support initiatives that strengthen access, representation, and community impact.
Woman On The Rise
A podcast by Empower Her Rise, Inc.
Woman on the Rise is a storytelling and leadership podcast that amplifies the voices of women of color pursuing and practicing law. Launched during Women’s History Month, the podcast features law students and attorneys who reflect on their journeys, discuss access and representation in the legal field, and offer guidance for the next generation of women leaders.
