Empower Her Rise, Inc. is an organization dedicated to advancing women of color from underserved and underrepresented communities.
Through comprehensive support, mentorship, community-building, and scholarship funding, we want to ensure women have the resources, networks, and opportunities needed to thrive.
Our goal is to cultivate the next generation of diverse leaders who will transform industries, institutions, and futures.
Committed To Breaking Barriers
At Empower Her Rise, we believe in empowerment, community, and advocacy. We support women of color in law, leadership, and higher education through:
Mentorship opportunities and a strong membership network
Internships for college and post-graduate students
Law school prep, including LSAT study groups and resources
Networking and professional development events
Community outreach to inspire the next generation of change makers
We Matter
The legal profession remains one of the least diverse fields. The representation is significantly low , making them one of the most underrepresented groups in the legal profession.
They continue to face significant disparities in their higher education journey. Despite a rising number of aspiring women in law, there are few dedicated resources, mentorship opportunities, or community spaces designed to support their unique journeys.
Many young women of color and first-generation students encounter systemic barriers: limited access to college resources, career guidance, and professional networks. Without strong mentorship, representation, and a sense of belonging, the path to higher education and a legal career can feel isolating and overwhelming.
Why We Matter
Women of color from underserved communities are still being left behind in the spaces that shape our futures:
In Higher Education:.
Women of color are less likely to attend graduate school—not because of ability, but because of cost, lack of mentorship, and systemic bias.
First-gen students? Many are navigating college without support systems in place.
At the graduate level, women of color earn just 13% of master’s degrees and less than 10% of doctoral degrees across the U.S.
The Gaps Are Real And They Don’t Stop After Graduation:
Women of color are drastically underrepresented in leadership across all industries.
In law, only 9.8% of lawyers are women of color. That breaks down to:
2% Black women
2% Latinas
3% Asian women
Less than 1% Native American women
Less than 1% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women of color.
Even in spaces pushing for “diversity,” young women of color often feel invisible or unsupported.
Empower Her Rise exists to bring change
We are building a powerful, supportive community where women can connect, uplift one another, and gain access to resources, opportunities, and encouragement they need to thrive from college to law school and beyond.
Through mentorship, scholarships, leadership development, and career preparation, we're not just opening doors. We're creating pathways for the next generation.

We envision a future where not only the -percentage rises but in access to mentorship, scholarship and resources. through collective support. Women of color confidently pursue and thrive on their higher education journey.
Our goal is to foster a community that reflects diverse leadership, where woman of color have the guidance, resources, and empowerment to achieve her fullest potential and make a lasting impact.
